Efforts such as these educational programs will ensure that healthcare professionals especially in the community understand the significance and implications of current standard of care for diagnosing, treatment and management of patients with cancer in a multidisciplinary forum.
Our goal is to provide a forum among colleagues to increase competency in the research and treatment developments. It will also benefit from guidance of national experts for clinical effectivements in treatment management.
If the attendees understand the biology and mechanisms, they will better be able to provide counseling for their patients. Because there are new therapies, attendees can learn why there are some areas without consensus (eg biomarkers) and how to work through these barriers to make decisions for patients.
Course Objectives:
Learning Objective 1: Describe the more recent and advanced therapeutic modalities available for advanced breast cancer, lung cancer, Prostate and Bladder Cancer, Colorectal and Pancreas Cancer
Learning Objective 2: To understand the application of new immunotherapy agents
Learning Objective 3: To understand the process of new screening methods for breast, lung, prostate, bladder, colorectal and pancreas cancers.
