I am a military brat and my early life meant being unsure as to where we will live. We were poor but we were surrounded by family who supported each other. Where I am today is because of the hard work of my parents especially my Mom - who made sure that I had an education and taught me the work ethic I have today. She's also the reason why I am very passionate about finding ways to support other women experiencing hardship and their need to be a part of a community. I saw her struggle, but I also saw her confidence, resilience and belief in "just doing it" to make things happen.
Professionally, I am one of the managing partners for an accelerator group in the life science and biotech industry. I am also the business intelligence officer for a tech company.
I started Women, Life and Science because I wanted to develop a platform that shared experiences of other women in navigating their personal journey professionally and personally. It's literally like a fireside chat with other women, forming a digital community. Imagine having coffee or having wine with your best girlfriend or girlfriends and just talk about life. Science is in there because of the women I know are in the science industry or peripherally involved in science, but most importantly, there's a science in building a strong community. Time and Time again, we hear how strong communities formed and led by women that build a positive environment for everyone which then leads to health and wellness for those involved.

"I’d say I had an entrepreneurial mindset. As a child, I recall, creating little things I can sell to others. Not sure how successful it was, but I’ve always enjoyed creating something that makes another happy or feel joyful. Throughout the years as an executive, I have thought of creating a community of women whose sole purpose is to develop programs that support whatever endeavor another woman wishes to embark on and to help ensure they are successful. My professional career has been in the life science/biotechnology and health care space and it made sense to build this community in the industry."
I think I was bit by the traveling bug as soon as I was born. Different cultures and traditions are fascinating to me. From these, ideas come.
Traveling is my creative outlet but I also like to write and lately have been enjoying dabbling into photography using my iPhone!
Women, Life and Science is one of my creative outlets.
People, culture and everywhere especially in the places traveled are all inspirations!
Women, Life and Science is really just that - women leaders, living a full life, have a professional career in science or peripherally, have been involved in the industry.
We are seasoned knowledge experts in leadership, mentorship, entrepreneurship, women's health, philanthropic and general life experiences. We have stories to tell and knowledge to impart. We overcame challenges, uncertainties and continue to navigate the ever evolving professional and personal balance. We share in kindness and we share openly. We are grateful for many things. We have little regrets but easily forgive ourselves for our missteps. Women, Life and Science is the open forum for dialogue, a think-tank of professional women paving the way for future women leaders. Women are stronger collectively and when we walk in unison, our success becomes ten-fold.
